More Than a Nonprofit — A Calling
Legacy of Love is a non-profit organization which exists to promote the socio-humanitarian well-being of African communities through social projects.
Established in 2018 by Pastor Djuna Munpfano Kashira, with the help of Peter Lipsy and Amanda Lipsy, who felt connected to the vision and made themselves available and supportive. Legacy of Love seeks to give aid to distressed communities in Africa and the United States.
Legacy Of Love goes to the end of the road to serve people in extreme need — because we have an extreme calling: to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a broken world.
Our Vision & Passion
A World Where Everyone Thrives
To provide support to people affected by conflict, war, and violence through charity and sharing the Love of God.
To help orphaned children, widowed women, and vulnerable people by building health centers and Day Care Centers. We envision initiating income-generating activities — agriculture, livestock, carpentry, IT, and sewing.
The Basics That Change Everything
Nutritious food. Shelter. Clean water. A decent education. Access to health care. A safe and secure environment.
Yet millions can't afford them. That injustice is what gets us out of bed every morning.
Why Eastern Congo?
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is filled with rich resources, rolling hills, and a beautiful community of people. But despite abundant natural resources, many families have been devastated by years of civil war.
The oil and minerals lining this land have been pillaged, leaving locals some of the poorest people in the world. There isn't enough food, and water isn't safe to drink.
Neglected communities in North Kivu live with the daily threat of violence from multiple armed groups. Without basic government support, they are left completely unprotected.

Meet the Founder
Pastor Djuna Munpfano Kashira
Founder & Executive Director
Djuna Munpfano Kashira was born in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo. His life has been shaped by witnessing firsthand the devastating consequences of war, displacement, and poverty — and by an unshakeable belief that things can be different.
The DRC has faced many wars and internal conflicts. Many people were victims of abuses, sexual violence, torture, and looting — some forced to abandon their villages. As a survivor himself, Djuna decided to become a human rights defender and social worker.
He became involved in creating this organization, characterized by showing love and serving others within families, social networks, and institutions. "I was so moved by the lives of the displaced and the victims of violence that I decided to intervene."
Pastor Djuna worked as a Protection Community worker under UNHCR. This further motivated him to establish Legacy of Love in 2018, with the help of Peter and Amanda Lipsy.
